An affiliate of Unltd India, who are the sister organisation to the leading social entrepreneurship incubator and specialist in startup grants – Unltd – based in the UK, we will be working alongside founder Raj Janagam and his team for 6 weeks, delivering consultancy and training, as well as designing support programmes and infrastructures for their incubated trustees.
Raj, a 2011 fellow from the Unreasonable Institute, as well a fellow of Unltd India, is a seasoned social entrepreneur in his own right having co-founded and led Cycle Chalao!, the pioneering bicycle sharing system of India. With an MBA in Social Entrepreneurship, Raj has also worked with several notable non-profit, for-profit, and government institutions at local and national levels.
We’re really excited to be working with the Unltd Hyderabad team. Having done an initial needs assessment it seems we’ll be supporting their current cohort of 12 month-long trustees with business strategy, marketing and distribution, scaling-up, market awareness, customer development, impact assessment, investment preparedness and developing and finding innovative ways to get their products/services to market. We will also be providing two or three volunteers to work directly with the Unltd team on some of their own start up priorities, such as fundraising, scaling up and revenue generation, moving toward a ‘for profit’ status from a non-profit model.
This is such an exciting time to be growing together with an organisation who has paved the way in terms of support and growth of social entrepreneurs globally. Unltd Hyderabad have proven themselves relentless in pursuit of the development of grassroots social entrepreneurs in the Andhra Pradesh and Telengana regions.
Over a six week-long programme we will be bringing a group of Trainee Social Enterprise Consultants on the journey with us. After their initial one week bootcamp, where we bring them up to speed in all the tools required for facilitating the learning of Unltd’s trustees, our skilled professional volunteers will be spending the remaining five weeks designing learning sessions and finding solutions to their client’s challenges.
